Heavenly father, I thank you for a day like this. I thank you for your hand upon us. I thank you for your grace. Thank you for your mercy. Thank you because you are God who loves us. You, our Heavenly Father. We come before you to seek your face and to look into Your Word as we look into Your Word together. Father, let your presence take absolute control. Speak to us, oh God, and let us not leave the same way we came. Lord, as we are listening wherever we are listening to Your Word today, bless us, father, in Jesus mighty name. Amen. I would like you to turn your Bible with me to Genesis chapter 17. Our reading from Genesis chapter 17, verse 1 to 7. Genesis 17 1 to 7. Genesis chapter 17 from verse 1 to 7. When Abraham was 99 years old, the Lord appeared to Abraham and said to him, I am Almighty God. Walk before me and be blameless, and I will make my covenant between me and on you. And we multiply you a Siddeley. Then Abraham fell on his face, and God talked with him, saying, as for me, behold, my covenant is with you, and you shall be a father of many nations. No longer shall your name be called Abraham, but your name shall be called shall be Abraham. For I have made you a father of many nations. I will make you a fruitful, and I will make nations of you. And kings shall come from you. And I will establish my covenant between men and you and your descendants after you in their generations. For I am for and for an everlasting covenant to be God to you and your descendants after you. Hallelujah! Wonderful. I'm speaking of what I call. Walk with me. Walk with me. 1s When you look at what God came to Abraham, you look at what the story is. 1s Abraham was 90 years old, 99 years old, rather than 99 years old. And the Lord appeared to him and said to him, walk before me and be perfect, or walk before me, and be blameless. And God made a covenant with him, with Abraham. 1s I said, the covenant I've made with you today, your name shall no longer be called Abraham, but Abraham, for have made you a father of many nations. But what I want to emphasize on is on. Walk before me and be blameless. 1s Walk before me and be blameless. So I'm speaking of what I call walk with me. Walk with me. 2s Because if you look at it very well, we need to, first of all, to understand about this work. Work? In the Greek. We have two types of work, like structural or peripatetic. To style is. Hold onto or walk a line, while Pari Patel is walk about 2s structural means to arrange in a line, to be in line with someone examples or in the line with the standards set up to live by, while peripatetic means to have our being, or to behave in a manner of life and living, it denotes a common habitual daily living or daily walk like walk by the spirit. So it's very important for us to see what work is all about 1s for God. God told Abraham, walk with me. Have you ever pondered about it? Why would the great Almighty God ask human being to walk with him? What would make God to ask a man to walk with him? We going to look that today? What would make us to ask him to walk with him? Why will a man walk with divinity? Because walking with God should be our priority and live as a Christian. But first of all, we need to see why would God, the creator of the universe, asks Abraham to walk with him? Because you have to understand something. You can't be a Christian and not walk with God. You can be born again. Spirit feet are not. Walk with God. You can be a true Christian all your life. Are not walk with God. How can you my being, walk with divinity as possible? You can also look at it this way. There are people who work for God but not walk with God. 1s There are those people who work for God, walk for God w o r k for God, work for God, but not working with God. Our focus should be walking with God. 2s We're going to see Bible characters. Those who walk with God, we're going to see it in the Bible as we cling to the Bible. Those who walk with God Almighty. Go with me to Genesis. Genesis chapter five. Let's see Genesis chapter five before we go to Genesis chapter six, verse nine. Genesis chapter five, please. Genesis chapter five. We're going to read from verse 21 to 24. Genesis chapter five, from 21 to 24. When it was 65 years old, he became the father of Methuselah after the birth of men, and not lived in a close fellowship with God for another 300 years. And he had other sons and daughters, 1s and not lived through 65 years. Verse 24, walking in close fellowship with God. Then one day he disappeared because God took him. Wow. Amazing. Because God took him out. Like read that same verses we read in King James Version. King James version. Genesis chapter five, verse 21 to 24 and and not leave 60 and five years and began Methuselah and Enoch walk, walked with God after he begat Methuselah 300 years, and and begat sons and daughters. And all the days of Enoch were 365 years. And Enoch walked with God, and he was not, for God took him. You see this example here? That's that. Make us understand that and walk with God. And it was not the Bible didn't say and not perform miracles, and God took him. The Bible didn't say and not did a lot of miracles, and God took him. The Bible didn't say and demonstrated the power of God. Because of that, God took him. The Bible didn't tell us that Enoch did something as extraordinary that we Christian, can count as supernatural and go to King. Now the Bible says, and not walk with God. So the walking with God is more important than working for God, walking, doing miracle, doing things for the in the kingdom is not as important as walking with God. 1s I'm going to share this profound message with you, this moment, about what would mean what would mean we are going to consider the life of Abraham and the life of Enoch. You know this Abraham name before he became Abraham was Abraham. So I'm going to be using either Abraham or Abraham. So they made the same. So we're going to be studying the looking at the character of looking at and in this Bible characters Abraham and Enoch. The Bible said and walked with God, and God took him. God took him. I think it is. It is a great privilege for us to work with Almighty God. 1s God literally invited Abraham to walk with him. Abraham was invited by God to walk with himself, walk before me and be blameless, or walk before me, and the perfect walk before me. Imagine, for example, imagine a president of a nation like United States of America, or like or the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom backs you to walk with him. How will you feel? So I think we may think, oh, I will feel so great, how physically I will feel so happy to walk on the street and people will see me with the Prime Minister of United Kingdom, or people will see me with the president of America on the street. But how will you feel when the Almighty God, the universe, Yahweh, the Lord God Almighty, the I am that I am, the wonderful God, the great master of the universe, the King of all kings, the Lord of all lords, the master of the whole universe, the one that created the whole universe. And the galaxy will say, walk with me. How will you feel? So God asked Abraham to walk with him. The Bible said, God said, Abraham, walk with me. I'm a prophet. And God. I will say in the example, the testimony of no knock and knock, walk with God. Enoch, walk with God. It depends on how you want to call it. Enoch walk with God. And he was not because he was translated. He was taken by God. God took him. I would like to see Genesis chapter six, verse nine. You remember I told you go to check into Genesis. Genesis chapter six, verse nine. 1s These are the generations of Noah. Noah was a just man and prophet in his generation. And Noah walk with God. You see, Noah, another character now is Noah. We see the third person, Noah, walk with God. Noah walk with God. And this is amazing for us to see that Noah walked with God. 2s Are you ready to walk with God? Because God is God. Look for us to walk with him. God want us to walk with him. It is very important for us to walk with God, because if we walk with God, when we see the testimony of walking with God, we see God manifest his power in our lives when we walk with God. God expects us to walk with him. God wants us to walk with him, and it's a privilege to walk with God. We should think deeply about this statement. Walk would mean. We should look at this statement. Work with me to successfully work with God. You must be in agreement with God. You cannot work with God when you are not in agreement with God. Amos three verse three make us understand that that except to are in agreement, they can't walk together. So for you to walk with God, you must be in agreement with God. God expects us to be in agreement with him to walk with God successfully. You must be ready to be in agreement with God. Walking with God is more than just doing things for God. No, walking with God is by following steps standard. Pleasing the Lord Almighty to walk with God is to is too pleasing to walk with God. Is to please God Almighty. To walk with God is more than anything in this universe. Walking with God is more than walking for God. Walking with God is more than you, performing miracles. Walking with God is more than anything else. Universe in on this earth. Walking with God is following his footsteps and not did not see God raised people through his hand. Noah did not raise people from the dead, but the Bible said he they walked with God. Noah walk with God. Enoch walk with God. Abraham was with God. So God has made us our focus. God has made us to walk with him. Our focus should be to please God. Our focus this year should be to please go, to commit to God, to concentrate ourself, to God, to be obedient to God, to walk in his fear and walk and please the Lord. It is very important for us to walk with God. Now the Bible says concerning Jesus, Jesus pleases the Lord. We should ready to please God because to walk with God you must please God. Walk before him. Be blameless. God does not expect us to be perfect if we walk with him. Because what can we go if we reveal your true self to you? What can we go with? You will make you to know that God is not looking for people who are perfect. Just come as you are. Walk with him. You can't walk with you can't walk with God and not be in his will. I'm not talking about walking for God, but walk with God. W l l when you walk with God, he will show you his will. You can't walk with God without listening to God and follow him. You can't walk with God without following his example. You can't walk with God with or without no experience his presence. You can't walk with God without having an encounter with God. You can't walk with God and not are not being power carrier. You can't walk with God and not live in holiness and purity. You can't walk with God, not have an impact in your life. Divinity impacting on humanity. It is not possible to walk with God and there is no the perfume of heaven, the heaven, glory, nor rest on you, the hand of God not manifest in your life. When you walk with God, you see God moved in your life. You see God changed things in your life. You see transformation happening in your life because you walk with God. God, expect us to walk with him. May God give us that grace to walk with him. May God make us understand that we need to walk with him than working for God. We need to be ready to bring us up before the law and live and not live in a perfect life, but live according to the line of that standard. The Bible expects us to leave. Working with God is working in his ways. 1s You cannot walk with God, are walking your ways. You have to walk in the ways of God. You can say, well, I'm walking with God, I follow him, I pleases the Lord, but my ways we steal. I will keep to my ways. No. If you are ready to walk with God, you must be ready to follow his ways. You can't walk with God and not follow his instruction and direction for your life. You can't walk with God and not be in agreement. You can't walk with God and not passionate about the works of the of God's kingdom. You can't walk with God and not be recognized nor recognize the voice of the Holy Spirit. You can't walk with God and not have a personal relationship with God. You can't. Walking with God require you having personal relationship with God. It starts from there. Because you can't work with God not having a relationship with God and fellowship with God. That working with God is a fellowship with God, the sweet fellowship of the Holy Spirit. Relating with the Spirit of God Almighty. Working with God is the best thing that ever happened to him. Working with God is working in his ways. Working in God is working according to the Word of God. Working with God is working according to his will and plan for your life. May the hand of the Lord rest upon you to walk with God. To walk with God, you should be ready to sacrifice your personal ambitions and your goals to walk with God. God require your availability, not for you know your perfection. Because sometimes we say, well, I don't want to work with God yet until I'm perfect on things are okay for me until I put things aside. No come the way you are. God looking for us to be available with him. Then as we walk with him, he changes us. He make impact in our lives. He touches our lives and make things to happen and change in our lives. 2s So to work with God is very, very important. We must learn to walk with God. Let's see. Hebrew. Please also see Hebrew chapter 11. Hebrews chapter 11. It talks about Enoch, Hebrews chapter 11, verse five. It was by faith that Enoch was taken up to heaven without dying. He disappeared because God took him, for before he was taken up he was known as a man who pleased God. That is what I want you to see that. To walk with God, you will please God. 1s If we are ready to walk with God in 2024, we must be ready to please the Lord. We must be that kind of person who is really to be committed to please the Lord. And King James Version. It goes this way. It reads by faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death and was not found because God had translated him. 1s For before his translation he had this testimony that he pleased God. May you be the kind of person who pleased the Lord Almighty. May be your own person that you please God. To please God is what you require of us so to walk with God. How can one can really say, I'm walking with God? How can one walk with the Lord? I'm not going to see God. Thank God. Chapter five, verse 16 to 18. Galatians. Go with me to Galatians. 1s Galatians chapter five, verse 16, Galatians chapter five, verse 16 to 18 and verse 25, I said, then walk in the spirit, and you should not fulfill the lust of the flesh. For the flesh is lost against the spirit, and the spirit against the flesh. And these are contrary one to another, so that you will do. You do not do the things that you wish. But if you are led by the spirit, you are not under the law. Verse 25 if we live in the spirit, let us also walk in the spirit. You see, to walk with God is to walk by the spirit. To walk with God is to be led by the spirit. You can walk with God and not being led by the spirit. So allowing the spirit of the Lord to lead you, it is you walking in with God and God expect us to walk with him. It is very important for us to walk with God, and we see a change in our lives because we walk with God. I love it the word walk with me. What would make God told Abraham, walk with me. Because for us to have a transformation, to be ignited, to be transformed, be delivered in any form of life, is to walk with God. You can't walk with God or even be in bondage, because in his presence there is liberty. In his presence you have fullness of joy. So if you want to see change in your life, walk with God and the glory of God. The hand of God will rest on you and cause a transformation in your life. Learn to walk with God. So the antidote for flesh and sinful habits is to is to walk with God or to walk in the spirit where we saw in Galatians. If you don't want to fulfill the lust of the flesh, walk in the spirit. So it's very, very important that we walk in the spirit. You know, get along with God means you not walk with God, because to to walk with God, you not need to get along. To walk with God, you need to get along. Enoch and God, they both get along. So we need to get along with God. They get along with each other, and that will make me to keep on asking myself this question. What will me divinity to work with? Will manatee on the same frequency? It is intimacy with one another. So intimacy comes in as well. Because to work with God, you need to be intimate with God. To walk with God is to have intimate fellowship with God. I want you to know it is not too late to walk with God. Abraham was 99 years old when God called him to walk with him. Abraham was 99 years old. God called him, I said, walk before me and be perfect. So it's not too late for you to walk with God. You can start walking with God today. It also takes total surrender to walk with God because you may be asking, what does it takes to walk with God? To surrender intimacy with God, agreement with God, intimate fellowship with him. To walk with God, you must be in agreement with God. It must make us understand that that to walk with God there must be an agreement to to walk with God so we cannot walk together. I sat there in agreement. I read that before. So it's very important for us to know that Hebrews chapter 11, verse six, something happened that the Bible said, without faith it is impossible to please the Lord. They that come to him must believe that he is, and he is a rewarder of them that seek him, so that me, God, is what those who seek him. So to walk with God, you must be ready to have faith, because it has faith to please God. You cannot please go without faith because God lives in a realm that natural sciences does not work. He live in a supernatural realm and for you to assess God, you must be ready to walk in the spirit. You must be ready to walk also by faith. Hebrews 11 six says, without faith it is impossible to please him, and they that come to him must believe that he is, and he is a rewarder of them who diligently seek him. So to walk with God is to fellowship with him intimately. Apart from that is to have faith and to walk with God. You must be ready to seek him. God is a rewarder of those who diligently seek him. 1s So to walk with him is to walk in the spirit, to be led by the spirit and work in the spirit. I could talk about five verse 15, verse 16 to 18. To work with God, you must be ready to put away flesh, because to overcome the sinful nature of the flesh is to walk by the spirit is to walk in the spirit and be led by the spirit. To avoid the desires of the flesh is by walking with God to avoid the desires of the flesh. Is by what can we go? The more you walk with God, the more you see your flesh not taking over. The spirit of the Lord takes over you. The hand of the Lord takes over you. That God Almighty takes over you. When you walk in the spirit and let go, take absolute control. I would like to see something very important first. Peter, please. 1s I would like you to see First Peter chapter two, verse 11. 2s First Peter chapter two, verse 11. 1s Already in the Navy. Dear friends, I urge you, as a foreigner and an aside to abstain from seafood desire which wage war against your soul. So to abstain from sinful desires. So to work actually with God, you need to get ready. To what? To abstain from sinful desire. Because if you desire war, we wage war against your soul. To walk with God is to surrender totality to God. Be willing to give your all, to surrender to him. To walk with God. He require you leave your carnality aside and surrender your heart to go. May the Lord bless you as we we will look into as we have already gone to conclusion. And I want to I want you to know this, that work with God requires you to say, Lord, here am I, here I, my Lord, just take over me. I want us to pray. Whatever you are hearing, the sound of my voice, I want you to talk to God. Just say, Lord, I want to walk with you. Let your presence lead me into intimacy with you. I want to walk with you. Help me, Lord, to walk with you. Open your mind wherever you are. As we pray for the living God, help us to walk with you. Help us. Lead us into that your presence, to have intimacy with you and walk with you as you require of us to walk with you in Jesus mighty name. Heavenly father, I pray for everyone hearing the sound of my voice that you bless them. Protect them, guide and true in their Christian journey and to walk with you in Jesus mighty name. Amen. 1s God bless you. Please keep the fire burning.
