I read first Samuel 10 verse 1 to 13.

"1. Then Samuel took a flask of oil and poured it on his head, kissed him and said, Is it not because the Lord has anointed you commander over his inheritance?
 2. when you have departed from me today You will find two men by Racheal' tomb in the territory of Benjamin at zelzah; And they will say to you, the donkey which you went to look for have be found. And now your father has ceased caring about the donkeys and is worrying about you saying, what shall I do about my son?
3. Then you shall go on forward from there and come to the. Terebinth three of Tabor. There three men going up to God at Bethel will meet you. One carrying three young goats another carrying three loaves of bread, and another carry a skin of wine.
4. And there they will greet you, and give you two loaves of bread, which you shall receive from their hands.

 5. After that, you shall come to the hill of God, where the Philistines garrison is. And it will happen when you have come there to the city, that you will meet a group of prophets. Coming down from the high place with a string instrument, a tambourine, a flute, a harp before them. And they will be prophesying.
6.  then the Spirit of the Lord will come upon you and you will prophesy with them and be turned into another man.
7.  And let it be when these signs come, that you shall do as the occasion demands; for  God is with you.
 8. And you shall go down before me to Gilgal; and surely I will come down to you to offer burnt offerings, and make sacrifice of peace offering. Seven days you shall wait, till I come to you, and show you what you should do.
9.  So it was, when he had turned his back to go from somewhere, that God gave him a Another heart. And all those signs came to pass that day.
10. When they came there to the hill, there was a group of prophets to meet him. Then the Spirit of the Lord came upon him, and he prophesied among them.
11. And it happened, when all who knew him formerly saw that he indeed prophesied among the prophets that the people said to one another, What is this that has come upon the son of Kish? He saw also among the prophets?
12. Then a man from there answered and said, but who is their father? Therefore, it became a proverb, Is Saul also among the prophets?
13.  And when he had finished prophesying he went to the high place.

 Very nice story-Concerning Saul who became King Saul. He was anointed by Samuel.
 For if you look at it very well, you discover that the servant of God Samuel said to Saul that You will be anointed and as I anoint you,  pour the oil from the flask of oil. upon Saul, he said, God has made you a commander over his own people and to be in charge of the people, and he said  God was with him and Bible say God was with Samuel was with Saul for God to make you a commander He has to be with you.

 Remember in Acts chapter 10 verse 38 the Bible say how God anointed Jesus Christ of Nazareth Who went about doing good and  healing all that were oppressed of the devil for God was with him.

 The Bible said God was with him- Jesus Christ. The same with Saul. God was with Saul. So to be anointed, to be a commander in this world as a Christian, God has to be with you. There is no two ways about it. God has to be with you.

I'm speaking on the anointing to be a commander.
The word anointing. What is anointing? anointing is to rub on. To smear or rub with oil. That is anointing! Or to apply oil to.  To spread oil over. That is anointing.
But the anointing in the Old Testament has to be with oil. Anointing is the power of the Most High God. Anointing is what empowers a man or a woman to function supernaturally under the hand or under the leadership of the Holy Spirit.

We were not created or called by God to be slaves and victims of the devil but God has called us to have dominion over him and his kingdom.

 We are not called to be slaves, but to be a commander over the things of the world.
 Serving God does not diminish you and your ability to succeed, but enhances your efforts and abilities to break through.

 Anointing of God is a plus, not a minus. Anointing makes you a great, insightful person. Anointing makes you a change person. Anointing makes you an overcomer. Anointing makes you a commander. Anointing makes you to take over territory for the kingdom. Anointing makes you a kingdom addict. Anointing makes you to have dominion over all forces of darkness of this world.

 Anointing makes you a victorious person in the field of life. As a commander, you rule in this world because you have been anointed to rule.

It is the anointing that brings people out of bondage. Our physical effort, as ministers of God, the pastors, the apostles, no one can deliver anyone from bondage except by the anointing. The Bible make us understand in the book of Isaiah, he said, he said, by the yoke shall be lifted off your shoulder and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the Anointing. It is anointing!

It is anointing that makes you a leader out of the group of followers. It is the  anointing that makes you triumphant over all situations of life. That is why I call, what I call, I call it anointing to be a commander. You are called to be a commander, not to be a slave.

 In Acts chapter 5, you see in Acts 5, verse 15 and 16, the Bible says something very profound that happened in Acts. The Bible said, a lot of sick people were brought on the street that the shadow of Peter might fall on them and the Bible say as many whose shadow of Peter has falls upon were healed and the Bible say they brought the paralysed, they brought those who were possessed, were vexed with demons and the Bible say All of them were healed. That is anointing to become a commander. what makes you?. Anointed as a commander? Your association will determine if you will carry the anointing or not.

Your association will determine the anointing you carry We saw in the case of Elijah and Elijah in two Kings chapter two, verse one to 15, we saw the account story, the biblical narratives consigning their move together. When Elijah was about to be taken away from Elijah, the Bible said he was associated. And, because he was, his association with his master, he got the double portion of the anointing.

 Ask God for his presence. ask God for the anointing over your life. It is the anointing that makes the difference. So, I want you to eagerly crave for it. The Bible says something in John. John 1 verse 12. The Bible says,

 "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become sons. of God, even to them that believe on his name."

 So you, if you are a child of God, you have been given the power to become. You did not just become a child of God because you choose to become a child of God. No, it's because God has given you the power to become a child of God. And the Bible says, even them that believe on his name. So, as many that receive Jesus into their life, God gave them power to become, to become sons of God. you believe in anointing, and as you believe in anointing, your belief prepares you to become. Second, desperate people get desperate people.

Outstanding miracles and results, We saw in Luke chapter 5 verse 17 18 you see an account of people who believed God for a miracle and they removed the roof of the house where Jesus was. You must be desperate enough for the anointing. I know some people will not like to hear that word desperate. if you want to be a commander, you need the anointing to become a commander and if you want that anointing, be desperate to have the anointing. Desperate people gets desperate God chooses the person to be anointed.

In Psalm 89 verse 20. The Bible said, I have found David my servant. With my holy oil have I anointed him. This is God speaking concerning David his servant. He said I have found David my servant. So God chooses, Todd, God chooses the person to be anointed. God chooses Saul to be anointed over his own people. Saul was made a commander Over the people of God.

Is there any area of your life? You want to be a commander God wants us to be a commander,  God can make it happen. If you want to be a commander, God can make it happen. Remember the Holy Spirit Is still in the business of making Christian commanders in our generation . what makes you anointed as a commander? You must love righteousness and hate sin. People will not want to hear this. God always anoint those who are righteous.  Hebrew chapter 1 verse 9, one of my favourite scriptures. Hebrew 1 verse 9, Because you love righteousness and hate iniquity, the God, even your God shall anoint you with oil of gladness above your fellows. That is what I just quoted. I love this scripture so much.

The Bible says God anointed. He was referring to Jesus Christ. God anointed Jesus Christ. he said anoint him with the oil of gladness above his fellow because he loved righteousness and hate iniquity. The God, even your God would anoint him with the oil of gladness above his fellows. What I see there that he anoints him above his fellow. That means one Christian can be anointed more than the other Christian.

And the difference is, you must love righteousness. and hate sin. You cannot live in sin and expect the miracle of God to be in your life to be anointed. You can't live in sin and play with sin and expect to be anointed. You want to be anointed? Love righteousness and hate sin.

God wants us to come to him to be made. So, for you to be made a commander, you must be willing to go to God.

 That means the willingness to go to God to be made, to be anointed. You see that in Matthew 4 verse 19, the Bible say, he said to them, follow me, I will make you fishers of men. Follow me, I will make you fishers of men. So your willingness to come to God that will determine if you will be anointed or not. So God is willing to anoint us, but we should go to him first. So when you go to God, God, we anoint us. If you go to him, he anoints us. 

The Bible says, he said to them, follow me, I will make you fishers of men. Six, be a kingdom servant, be a kingdom servant. The Bible says, seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness. All other things shall be added unto you. unto you to be anointed. You must be a servant. You must be willing to be a kingdom servant. Second Kings chapter 3 verse 11. The Bible says something very profound here. I'm going to read the account of Jehoshaphat. But King Jehoshaphat of Judah asks, Is there no prophet of the Lord yet? Through whom we may inquire of the Lord, and of an officer of the king of Israel, answer, Elisha, son of Shaphat, is here. He used to pour water on the hands of Elijah. "

That is the description. What an amazing description. 

The description is, there is a servant. You say, is there any prophet? Yes, yes, there's anointed prophet in the land. The anointed prophet was described as a Elisha. His service that there is the, the servant said to the king of Israel, Elisha is here. He used to pour water on the hands of Elijah. Amazing to be anointed with. Be Willy to die. I want to close the. Episode anointing to be a commander. God is willing to anoint us. Are we ready to fulfil the requirements to be anointed? May the Lord give us understanding. May the hand of the Lord be with us. 

May the Lord show us the way to be anointed and may the Lord open our eyes to see beyond what I have said so far in Jesus' name. Let us pray. Heavily Father I thank you for your word. Father I pray that your hand will rest on us as many that is hearing  this episode today. Father bless them. Open their eyes to see what the anointing means and how they can be anointed as commander , in any aspect of their field, in all their endeavours, in the name of Jesus.
