Introduction to the Global Revival Blast Podcast
Intro: Welcome to the Global Revival Blast Podcast, where you get inspired, experience God's power, His manifest presence and transformation with the teachings of Wilfred Aigbomobe. Now, here's your host, Wilfred Aigbomobe.
Wilfred: I am so excited to share with you this episode. Let's see the story together.
It's Not Over: Biblical Stories of Hope
Wilfred: I have two stories I want to share from based on the Bible and the title of today's episode is it's not over. It's not over. People thought it's over with you and I. They were wrong and they are still wrong. It is not over with us.
No matter what Challenges [00:01:00] and situations we are going through currently is not over with us. It is not over when a Christian falls. Have you read in your Bible in Proverbs 24 verse 16, For a righteous man may fall seven times and rise again.
But the wicked shall fall by calamity. Even though you fall many times, get up, ask for forgiveness, and move on with Christ. Go and sin no more. Like what Jesus said to the woman that was caught in the act of adultery. Jesus did not condemn her. He said, neither do I condemn you. Go and sin no more. It's not over with you.
Don't give up your faith and your walk with God.
The Story of the Widow's Son
Wilfred: The story of this episode is in Luke 7. Luke 7 verse 11 to 17. I'm going to read. Now it happened the day after that he went into a city called Nain and many of his disciples went with him. and when he came near the gate of the city, behold, a dead man was being carried out, the only son of his mother, and she was a widow, and a large crowd from the city was with her.
When the lord saw her, he Had compassion on her and said to her, Do not weep. Then he came and touched open coffee and those [00:03:00] who carried him stood still. And he said, Young man, I say to you, Arise. So he who was dead sat up and began to speak. And he presented him to his mother. Then fear came upon all, and they glorified God, saying, A great prophet has risen among us, and God has visited his people.
The last , verse seventeen. And this report About him went throughout all Jude and all the surrounding region. Amazing story, amazing story.
The Meaning of Nain and Jesus' Miracle
Wilfred: Jesus was going on his own mission. He was going, the Bible said he came to pass. He enter into a city, Cornell, a city called name. He was with the [00:04:00] disciples when he saw the loud cloud and people gather multitude.
He saw the multitude and he. So the dead, the only son of the widow in the town of Nain died and was carried on their way for the young man to be buried. The Bible didn't tell us how old the man was. The Bible said young man. The town of Nain. Today, if we look at it vividly to see about that city, the town of NE is located eight miles southeast of Nazareth.
What is the meaning of ne the city name or the town name? Name? NAIN means beauty. Pleasantness name is one of the Arab villages in the Galilee [00:05:00] today in our modern world. The name hasn't changed. It still remain the same name. The town was beautiful in that time of is still beautiful today and full of pleasantness.
Yet, the woman widow lost her only son. Even though the, the town typified beauty, typified pleasantness, but this woman did not receive anything beauty or pleasantness. She received sadness because things do happen. She might have thought of it. What pleasantness have I gained from this?
She didn't get beauty, neither pleasantness, but God didn't leave her only son the way he did. Jesus find her and [00:06:00] a son. The Bible said that it came to pass that Jesus touched the people carrying the coffee and told them to stop. And the Bible said those who were carrying the coffee stop and they release, they put the boy down and Jesus touched the boy and raised the boy back to life.
And the Bible said he handed over the The child to the mother. It is very important to see that when you look at the case of this woman, the case in our own way, we'll look at it. The case. Was over over because there was nothing else that one could say rather than when death happens in any family is Finality death is finality.
That means there is no way out when someone died when someone dies It means the end of it [00:07:00] If someone is sick, one could go and try the way to make sure the person gets good treatment, go to the best hospital and receive treatment. But once someone dies, that is the end.
Lessons from the Widow's Story
Wilfred: The Bible says something very profound that the people, most people was with Jesus, was with this woman and Jesus came and had compassion.
Before Jesus had compassion, I'm taking a little step backward. The Bible said, Jesus said to the woman, weep not. And Jesus said weep not because Jesus has solution to her problem. Because the reason she was crying was because she had lost her only son. It was over. It was over for her. It was over for her only son.
It was over because she knew the pain she was going through and she was only with her only son. There is no one else to her because she has [00:08:00] only son God knows when she lost her only son. And the Bible says she was a widow and the only son also died. The Bible says something, Jesus touched the child and raised the child back to life.
And when people saw what Jesus did, they said a great prophet indeed has risen among us and God has visited his people. Amazing. It means when God stepped into the situation, your situation and my situation, It's not over. That is why I speak on this episode. It's not over. It's not over because God hasn't say that it is over.
It's not over. Except when God says it is over. Christ steps into the situation. Christ calms the widow. Don't weep, woman. Christ had compassion and [00:09:00] proceeded to raise the only child back to life. Christ stopped those carrying the boy to be buried. Christ raised the young man up from the dead.
Favour is needed to experience the hands of God. She needed favour. It was favour. She didn't ask for help. She was just going on her own and Jesus stepped in. Never say it is over when God didn't say so. No matter your situation maybe and your challenges of your marriage, your health, Never say it's over with you.
Who says it is over when God hasn't say so. So stop saying it and believe the lie of the devil because it's the lie of the devil for someone to think it's over. In our world today, when anyone die, There's no one that will tell you, let me raise the [00:10:00] child, or bring the child to my clinic, I will take care of the child, or I will take care of the dead person.
It's not possible. But only God can raise the dead. Only God can raise the dead.
Belief in Miracles and God's Timing
Wilfred: There are stories in the Bible that many people don't believe, including the Christians today. Uh, especially things like miracles, a lot of miracles. When people hear this include, I'm talking about Christians. Some, some select what to believe in the Bible.
Some don't, some select what not to believe. But if you are a genuine Christian, you should believe the Bible. The Bible is true. There is no word in the Bible. That is not correct. All the stories in the Bible must be believed or ought to be believed by Christian if you are truly born again and you are a Christian.
You should believe the story. The story of this woman was a story of a, of someone who was born again. Her only hope was taken from her by death. Her only hope was taken away. [00:11:00] I don't know what your problem may be. Yours may be heads. You think we are going through serious head condition and you think it's over.
I'm here to tell you it's not over until God says so. I'm here to announce to you. It's not over with you. It is not over with your destiny. It's not over with. You may. Your situations may seem hopeless. God of hope. We bring hope to your situation. You may look at your career is over. You may look at your marriage is over.
You may look at things around you is over. I'm here to tell you it's not over because God will step in. Believe God's timing. You know sometimes we want God to step in when our situations are not, things are not moving fine. We want God to step in as fast as possible. But God has his own timing. His timing is different from [00:12:00] your timing, from our timing.
So, if you look at the case of Lazarus and Martha and Mary, they call Lazarus that the friend whom you love is sick. Jesus did not go there. Jesus did not visit to heal his friend. Until he stayed the Bible say he stayed two days more in where he was and until Lazarus was buried And before he visited the place Wow, and when he visited the place he performed miracle.
It's not over. It's about his time I'm talking about time in there about his time So when the time came for Jesus to visit he always come On time, he may not be on your own timing, but he always comes Believe in God. Nothing is impossible. Only the key to see the manifestation of God is only [00:13:00] believe.
Only believe and you'll see God manifest His power. You see, in the life we live today, people sometimes don't have hope. The reason people throw away their hope, and gave up is because they do not see any possible solutions or a way out of their dilemmas. They threw away their hope and confidence in God since they don't see positive results.
When people don't see positive results soon as they want or they desire results or they desire positive results, they give up. People forget the scripture that says, Hebrew chapter 10 verse 35 said don't throw away this confidence which have great recompense of reward according to king Jesus[00:14:00]
confidence bring great rewards So don't throw away your hope. It is necessary to nurture your hope, your confidence in God, your hope in God, your trust in God, and you will benefit from it.
The Exodus: A Story of Deliverance
Wilfred: The last story I will talk about in this episode is the Exodus. Of the people of Israel, the freedom of the people of Israel.
You remember in Exodus 14 from verse 10 to 17, I'm going to bring out the P the the story from that you., you'll see his written very profound things that happen that Pharaoh and his army thought it was over for the people for Israel,
when. Even when the Israelites were afraid, and they thought [00:15:00] it was over, God told Moses, Move forward because It wasn't over. Even the Israelites, the people of Israel were complaining to Moses and said, Moses, is it because there were no grave in Egypt that you brought us to die on this way? It is better we go back to Egypt because their statement shows their thought of their heart that it was over in their mind.
It was over, but because God was with them, something has happened. Something remarkable happened. I'm going to read Exodus, I'm going to read Exodus 14 verse 10 to 17, As Pharaoh approached, the Israelites looked up and saw the Egyptians marching after them, and they were terrified and cried out to the Lord.
[00:16:00] They said to Moses, Was it because there were no graves in Egypt that you brought us into the wilderness to die? What have you done to us by bringing us out of Egypt? Did we not say to you in Egypt, leave us alone so that we may serve the Egyptians? For it would have been better for us to serve the Egyptians than to die in the wilderness.
But Moses Told the people, do not be afraid, stand firm, and you will see God's, the Lord's salvation, which he will accomplish for you today. For the Egyptians you see today, you will never see again. Again, verse 14, the Lord will fight for you. [00:17:00] You need only to be still. Then the Lord said to Moses, why are you crying out to me?
Tell the Israelites to go forward and as for you, lift up your staff and stretch out your hand over the sea and divide it, so that the Israelite can go through the sea on dry ground, and I will harden the hearts of the Egyptians so that they will go in after them. Then I will gain honour by means of Pharaoh and all his army and chariots and horsemen.
Wow. Amazing. The people, first of all, the people of Israel were afraid. They were terrified when they saw the Red Sea in front of them. And they looked [00:18:00] behind them, they saw the Egyptian marching after. They were terrified, they cried out, they said, it was over. Is it not what we told you? You leave us alone in Egypt, that we may serve you?
Egyptians, They were complaining because for them they saw nowhere out. It was over for them. That was what they thought it was over, but they, for God, the God of Israel, they, for God I am that, I am. They forgot the God Almighty who can patch the recipe. Anyway, they haven't seen the recipe party before them.
So even when they said they move forward, they were even afraid that maybe Moses, you have lost your mind. Something is wrong with you. How can you tell us to move forward? But when God told Moses, God said to Moses, why you cried unto me? Tell the [00:19:00] people of Israel to move forward and The rod in your hand, your staff, stretch it towards the Red Sea, and the Israelite, the people of Israel, will go through the dry ground, and I will harden the heart of the Egyptians, and they will move after you, when the Israelite move in.
What I want to tell you, let us know is this, that God Almighty, honour His word, He decided to deliver the people of Israel. He indeed, he delivered them. He brought them out from that land of bondage.
Conclusion and Prayer
Wilfred: He parted the Red Sea before them, even though they were free. In conclusion of this episode, cast your care upon God, because he cares for you in the darkest moment of your life, [00:20:00] God is with you when things are not working around you.
God has not forsaken you. he says, I will never leave you, nor forsake you. God is still with you. You may not feel his presence, but God is with you. God keeps to his words. I will never leave you, not forsake you. It means he still keeps to the word.
God will never fail because of you. He has not failed. It will not start now because of you.
It is not over. No matter what you are going through in life right now, I want you to know it's not over. It's not over. It's not over. It's not over. It's not over. It's not over because God is involved. Because whatever God is involved, it means it's not over until God says it's over. Let us pray. Heavenly
father, I thank you [00:21:00] for your word. I pray that your hand will rest on us. You help us to know that it's not over with us, no matter the condition we have, disease, health problem, sickness, problem, our loved one going through a lot of problem. Father, I pray in the name of Jesus. You move into a situation.
Father, I pray for someone right now who is at the point of death. In the name of Jesus, I command the person to receive healing right now. I pray for someone, whether the person is at the point of going to coma. In the name of Jesus, I call the person come back to life. In the name of Jesus, I pray this moment, anyone hearing me have disease of the bone, disease of the kidney, kidney stone, liver disease.
I command that to disappear now [00:22:00] in the name of Jesus. I command healing to take place in your body. Be healed now in the name of Jesus. Thank you my heavenly father. Thank you because you answer prayer. Blessed be your holy name. In Jesus mighty name we've prayed. Amen. God bless you. Please keep the fire burning.
